Newsletter December 2011
Dec 01, 2011 -Shanghai

Chairman’s Corner: Christian Overgaard

2011 is soon coming to an end. DCCC Shanghai has had a fantastic year with lots of new members joining—now total of 165, launch of new web-site, on-site visits, some great parties, twice as many events as the year before and latest launch of our 6 module Chinese Managers training. We want to thank all you members and friends for keeping us on our toes and constantly challenging us with new ideas and constructive feedback.

In 2012 we will continue to look for interesting speakers and also introduce more on-site visits, as they proved to be very popular in the Autumn. We are working on events with focus on sustainability, e-commerce, food safety, board governance, global leadership, R&D and a joint event with Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. There will be joint events with our friends at the other chambers and Young Professionals also have some new and interesting things coming up. Please don’t hesitate to get back to us if you have ideas for initiatives, we can work on.

We look forward to welcome you all back in Spring 2012 and to the AGM on March 15th. On behalf of the board and our secretariat I wish you all happy holidays and safe travels.
