This year the Ball which took place on April 24 was attended by around 350 guests from Scandinavia, China and various other parts of the world. Although a glorious night of entertainment, wonderful music and dancing, the purpose of the evening was fundraising for charity. It is now with great pleasure and pride that we can announce that including the auctions we generated a result showing a total amount for charity donations reaching RMB 615,000. The Danish/Dutch artist Ed Vossen will together with his family host an art event with in the open with the theme: "visualization of cultural differences in art seen from a color perspective". Colors connect us all, colors are everywhere around us. We will discuss with each other, learn from each other and experience colors and their different cultural meanings. With as a point of departure Ed's own childlike, colorful universe, we will, together, travel through a landscape of colors, while we create a big common painting in the open. The participants will learn about colors cross culture, similarities and differences in the use of colors etc. while having a good time in the open.

The net surplus from this year's Gala Ball will benefit China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) and its "Spring Bud Project" - whose purpose is to help girls in poverty-stricken regions of China back to school.
